Chapter 19
A Heart That Shows It Cares
What meant the most to you from this chapter or offered you the greatest challenge or inspired you deeply?
To follow God's plan to the fullest!!
How did the depiction of the natural order and overflow (Seven Sacred Pools) of your priorities help you understand the flow of God's plan for you?
This really spoke to me...When we are faithful to follow after God's heart, when we tend and nurture each aspect of life as He instructs the ministry He uses us in can have an impact beyond measure.
1. Learn to Reach Out--Look at the aspects of giving or reaching out to others that are included in Luke 6:30-38. In a word, what is Jesus' command?
Give to everyone
What is the scope?
Give to everyone who asks you, love your enemies
What is to be expected?
Do not demand it back,do good to them
Who does God give to?
His children
How much are we to give?
A good measure(Generous way)
Now, write out any changes you need to make in your reaching out and giving to others?
Be bold and give to the people God places in your path.
2. Learn to Look Out--Take a quick look at Jesus' parable of "the Good Samaritan." List the variety of ways he "looked out" for the wounded man in Luke 10:25-37
He went to him and bandaged his wounds, bought him to an inn and took care of him.Gave money to the innkeeper and told him I will repay you for any other expenses.
How did he manifest a "bountiful eye"?
He helped him
How was he direct when he saw a person in need?
To take care of him
3. Go to Give-Which point (be all there, live to the hilt, or divide and conquer) meant the most to you and why?
Be all there...I want to be more focus.
Are there changes you need to make in your ministry style and heart?
To reach out to others in need.
4. Develop Your Prayer Life-
Morning and night
Where do you pray?
In my quiet bedroom
What is your plan?
I really need to use my prayer journal more...I pray for those in need,my family and things going on in my life.
This chapter really spoke to me in so many ways.
God extends His love in so many ways and that way is through me...how great is that.
Never realize that my presence can bring comfort far greater than words.
I'm challenging myself to reach out this week to those in need.
