Chapter 15:A Heart that creates order from Chaos
In your copy of A Woman After God's Own Heart, read chapter 14, "A Heart that Creates Order from Chaos." What meant the most to you from this chapter or offered you the greatest challenge or inspired you deeply?
It challenged me to do more in my home and to have better time management. Because if you have great time management that equals a happy family:)
More time to enjoy life!!!!!
Responsibility and Accountability - - Read 1 Timothy 5:13-14. As the apostle, Paul observed the behavior of the young widows of his day, what distressing habits did he list in verse 13?
Being idle,gossiping and busybodies.
Whad did he say was "better" for these women (verse 14)?
To love their husbands and children,to be self-controlled and pure,to be busy at home and to be kind,to be subject to their husbands,so that no one will malign the word of God.
Yes, But How? -- First, understand that home management is God's best for us -- God's desire that we build and watch over and manage a home is obviously not only "better" for us, but also "best". (We can thus be sure that those who dwell under our roof will enjoy the beauty of order versus the confusion of chaos!) What does Titus 2:3-5 have to say on this subject?
The older woman should teach the younger women how to behave.
Second, decide to take home management seriously -- Knowing what God desires for you and your home -- that you are on assignment from God to manage your home -- what decisions can you make to take the management of your home more seriously?Make a list and stick to it no matter what. It feels great when you do everything on the list:)
Third, live as though you will be accountable for the condition of your home and the use of your time -- What is the atmosphere of your home like? What can you do to make your home a place of peace and rejuvenation?
I feel my home is peaceful and relaxing and I always try to make it feel that way when my hubby comes home from work.
